Kyriacos Olympiou is the author of, At Anchorage, Thoughts of a Shift, The Greeks’ Legacy, A Cretan Eagle in Cyprus ’74, (historical novel) and Crime on the Moon, (noir novel). He is a regular participation in events hosted by various literary organisations, as well as in literary and poetic workshops organised by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus, and his books, Thoughts of a Shift and A Cretan Eagle in Cyprus ’74, were nominated for a prize for cultural services from the Ministry. His poems have been included in the 4th International Literary Festival and he is a member of the Cyprus Literary Society, the Association of Greek Writers, the cultural groups Artion Larnakos and Vasilis Michaelides. Kyriakos has been honoured by the Association of Cretans of Cyprus for his book A Cretan Eagle in Cyprus ’74, and was a member of the first critical poetry competition committee for the Greek literature magazine KEFALOS.
